Studio
José Enrique
Fombella Guillem.
The projects presented on this page primarily develop two ideas that have guided the studio’s work since its beginnings.
First, the idea of responding to social needs in order to humanize the built environment, using architecture as an instrument at the service of society. In this way, the architect becomes a public servant, analyzing the client’s needs and addressing them with efficiency, economy, and beauty.
Second, the idea of carrying out the architect’s work freely and creatively, asserting architecture as the foremost of the Fine Arts, and contributing to the improvement of the built heritage within the realm of culture.
In this sense, the studio has sought to work on projects that serve the common good—those that enhance the community environment in which they are located, regardless of scale; on architectures with spatial and programmatic potential; on works whose scale can be controlled by the studio throughout the entire process, from design to construction management; on architectures that are useful both functionally and symbolically; and on buildings that are economical, well-constructed, and logical, without concealing their essence.
